_Application Server Systems Administrator (Monterey).

Kelly Services is looking for an experienced Application Server Systems Administrator for a thriving company in Monterey.

This is a full-time, temporary assignment that has the potential to become permanent with the company. Starting salary of $72,000 per year.

Job Functions:
• Analyzing system/application logs and identifying potential issues
• Introducing/integrating new technologies into existing data center environments
• Performing routine audits of systems and software; performing backups
• Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
• Installing/configuring new hardware and software
• Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc
• Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system
• Troubleshooting any reported problems; system performance tuning
• System/application log archival management
• Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running
• Application runtime configurations/application testing

Required Skills:
• Intermediate to advanced WebSphere and Tomcat installation, configuration, tuning, and administration
• Intermediate to advanced Linux installation, configuration, tuning, and administration t include intermediate Linux shell scripting
• Intermediate JVN tuning and optimization and Java applications stack; Basic SQL
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
